College Bound Dorchester depends on the generosity of individuals, corporations and foundation to support its students in achieving their educational goals. Here are a few ways in which you can make a contribution or get involved.
Make a Financial DONATION
A gift of any amount will be gratefully received and used toward our programs. You can make an unrestricted gift or designate a program to receive your support. Gifts in memory of or tribute to honor a loved one can also be made to support College Bound Dorchester while remembering family and friends.
Support Our Marathon Team - WE ARE COLLEGE BOUND
On April 15, 2013, four amazing women will run the 117th Boston Marathon. Natalie, Marybeth, Heather and Alicia are not just running to reach their own personal goal; they are running for more than 300 students that we will serve this year in the College Connections program. Team WE ARE COLLEGE BOUND is raising funds to help students get into, and graduate from, college. Consider donating $1 for each mile they will run. IN-KIND SUPPORT & VOLUNTEER SERVICE
Our work is significantly enhanced with donations of time and service. Individuals and corporations are welcome to contribute service hours, expertise and professional services. Some examples include résumé preparation and mock interviews with our students, internships for our students and college preparation workshops.
STOCK & MATCHING GIFTS
An outright gift of appreciated securities is a quick and easy way to make a meaningful gift and to receive an income tax deduction for the fair market value of the stock at the time of the gift. Additionally, many corporations match charitable contributions made by their employees. Make your gift count more by finding out if your company has a matching gift program.
